Why There hasn’t been any more Blog Posts for so long

For the amount of time it took to make this post, Informing who ever is willing to read anything I post on this website has been a challenge due to blogging becoming a far less frequent as most people in the niches that I cover don’t always go on personal websites to learn about something or the topics being discussed due to my priorities being focused else where.

And it didn’t help when a portion of my website had a corrupted media backup that left me no other choice but to take down all posted that relied on the media for context and was having server issues that resulted a broken website.

Although it was a hassle to look for all the media files one by one on both some other websites scattered around the internet and on one of my local drives. I’ve manage to reconstruct and even done some updates to resolve all possible issues via FTP and media sync to the closest to how it was.

In other words Here are some of the changes moving forward to how I’ll keep the website up for as long as possible.

The Internet of the Past is facing out

There was once a time where the term surfing the web implies that your exploring a new frontier in a Digital space. It felt like an adventure discovering new knowledge and new ways of gaining skills and connections that wouldn’t have been possible before.

Long gone are the days of web 1.0 read only HTML pages with no means to give feedback to what is being presented unless an Email is viable and even so it’s not ideal due to the rise of spam and scam emails.

A large portion of internet traffic visits a small number of websites owned by big tech companies where content is being uploaded and restricted under their terms of service that can change at any given moment with no real saying on the matter.

In case they decide if any of my contents are deemed unacceptable. I may as well put it on this website where I can just upload to my hearts content.

Social Media Took Over

When I first put myself on the internet, it was in 2007 where I made a MySpace profile due to my friend group that was on it at the time to even sharing my thoughts and contents out there for anyone to see with little regard to what I put out there.

Witnessing how a website can break down with no way of accessing my contents or communicate with any of my peers out of anyone’s control made me reconsider how I’ll go about it.

Like most people after MySpace went under, I’ve made a Facebook account and used it for 15 years we’re I’ve share all sorts of personal details about myself from my past that I shouldn’t have after discovering my privacy is at risk with no way of changing user names after it became a requirement to show a government issued ID.

In response to a stalker situation, I’ve made the difficult decision in deleting my Facebook account losing all my posts and contacts who refuse to use anything else to stay in touch. This marks the end of using social media as a primary means to share updates or contact anyone with no real plans to ever return again.

AI killed The Need to Blog

Bots have been a problem on the internet for as long as automated scripts have been around long before generative AI became available around late 2022.

Ever since this wave of artificial intelligence became a lot more implemented. It can do hours worth of editing work in less time than ever or in some instances on pare with most experienced professionals.

And it doesn’t help that AI generated summaries which takes away from reading the actual pages it takes. Surely it can save time for those who want to get things done quickly, but that also can cause one to loss out to what information is actually being shown.

As a matter of fact, AI can hallucinate wrong answers or flat out misinformation if one doesn’t catch them right away. This is not to say that AI is bad as It can help in several way like performing repetitive task but it shouldn’t be a full on replacement for creative decisions as I believe The fun parts should be done by humans instead.

Community Announcements and Updates Have Been closed Off

Ever since I started the Dark Side Of Omegle Series in late 2022 Where I covered Questionable individuals and shed light on the controversial side of Random Video Chat sites like Omegle. There have been targeted attacks against me over some of the individuals and subject matters being covered.

For instance There use to be invite links to a discord server where anyone can join a community of like minded people or are just interested in my projects or simply want to hangout at since 2018 before going invite only.

The amount of stalking extended to the point the same person went after anyone in contact with me. Even banned anyone who could be associated to said individuals including so called victims to get threw.

There use to be comment sections in every post that you needed an email or word press account to leave feedback but a majority of them are bots spamming questionable websites that aren’t relevant to the topics/subjects of any posting. So they got removed to prevent bots or even bad actors from taking advantage of them any further.

Repurposing This Website Moving Forward

Although it may seem doom and gloom in the way I’ve worded the points being made. This doesn’t change the fact that having your own website is still a better way of sharing any thing you want without any restrictions a side from following laws of the country the server is hosted at.

This website was made in 2016 as a way to have a web space under the chosen domains website name I can call my own without relying on third party blog sites and social media that can decide to remove anything or break without any warning.

Moving Forward A lot more focus will be put into the Land Rider brand and the lore behind the name that isn’t limited to just one thing or another. There won’t be any blogging as no one are reading those anymore.

There will still be experimentation to try out that isn’t limited to making videos and finding ways to monetize the contents to continue funding my projects while keeping this website online. I’ll do my best to learn from my mistakes while keeping the legacy alive by any means possible. (I’ll also keep offline backups in case it breaks again)

So hopefully this explains why this website will no longer be for blogging at the state the internet landscape is at the time of this post.

Til then Stay safe,
